Areas Of Interest: Assessment and treatment of adults, teens, and children struggling with depression anxiety, PTSD, and other mood disorders. Special interest in women’s issues including adult survivors of sexual, physical and emotional abuse; domestic violence, stress management, self-esteem, grief issues, couples counseling, divorce adjustment, and other life transitions. Strong interest in the healing power of animals including the use of horses for mental health therapy known as Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP).

Education: Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Certified by the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. EPALA Certified Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist.

Experience: Experience in inpatient and outpatient settings for the past 14 years providing both individual and group therapy. Provided mental health counseling and equine facilitated psychotherapy for the last two years on the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation in Hayward, WI. This experience enriched and broadened my life both personally and as a therapist.

Personal Data: I believe in the strength and resiliency of the human spirit and consider it a privilege to empower clients to overcome personal barriers in order to live a more satisfying life. I feel that it is very important to continue to grow and challenge one’s self regardless of age. I hope to eventually incorporate equine facilitated therapy into my practice as an additional tool to provide insight and emotional healing.

Elizabeth works in the West Bend office. Elizabeth is not accepting new patients at this time; returning clients only please.
