Desiree is a caring and genuine person who has had the experience of working with children, adolescents and adults for many years. She has been a certified teacher in Wisconsin for over 38 years and has taught many developmental skills. Desiree has worked in many areas with people from all walks of life helping them with educational plans, violence in the home, abandonment, anger management, homeless issues, attitude issues, life skills, and many other issues that affect their lives and well-being. Because of the many years of working with people, she returned to school to study Professional Counselor at Concordia University.

Since earning her master’s degree in 2017 and working in counseling for the past five years, Desiree has found that the area of counseling is a professional career that gives her the opportunity to help children, adolescents, and adults of various backgrounds and ages. In supporting people in counseling, she feels it will improve the mind, the body and the soul of the individual. Desiree also feels that counseling requires patience, kindness, and a good listening ear.

Desiree’s areas of interest in working with clients are those who suffer with anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, behavior issues, relationship issues, divorce, domestic violence, self-esteem, alcohol problems, and PTSD. Some of the modalities she uses in counseling are: Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Reality Theory, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, and Coping Skills.

Desiree is under direct supervision by Julianne Morrison LPC NCC, and works out of the Germantown office.
