Hi! I’m Cate and I am a licensed professional counselor with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, parents, and families. I believe strongly in the healing power of relationships. In addition to developing a strong relationship with each client, I also emphasize the importance of family and social relationships. I aim to advocate for parents to be part of the therapeutic process to facilitate lasting change. My focus in therapy is to create a highly individualized approach to therapy and to help my clients recognize their unique strengths to overcome challenges.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Marquette University. I have received clinical training at Aurora Behavioral Health’s Inpatient Eating Disorder program and at Rogers Behavioral Health in multiple levels of care in general mental health, anxiety, addiction, and trauma programs. Through these experiences I learned evidence-based intervention strategies for individuals experiencing a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. I also have experience providing caregiver support for building positive parent-child relationships and managing challenging behaviors. My therapeutic approach draws from my studies and experiences with cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical and behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, play therapy, and positive psychology.
