Alesha is pursuing a MS in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health and a Trauma Counseling Certificate at Mount Mary University. Alesha is training under the supervision of Connie Eller, LPC, RPT-IT. Alesha also holds a certificate in Infant, Early Childhood, and Family Mental Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, she is an accredited Positive Parenting Program [Triple P] Provider with a background in Human Development and Trauma-Informed Care. She takes a narrative, person-centered approach and believes that while early relationships and experiences can impact our lives today, everyone has the capacity for growth and change. Alesha considers it to be her job as a therapist to support clients in revealing the power they already possess.
Alesha believes a combination of compassion and grace plus the warmth and safety of the counseling relationship helps clients meet their goals. She works collaboratively with clients to foster resilience, strengthen relationships and work towards healing. Alesha uses Play Therapy with children 12 and younger. Alesha has a background in mental health needs related to navigating life transitions, coping with stress, and strengthening parent-child relationships.
