My e-mail goes through a server that is not encrypted to protect health information. It is possible that a third party could gain unauthorized access to any message you send or receive from me. If you are contacting me regarding an emergency, including a last-minute cancellation, please do not use e-mail. I do not check e-mail daily. I generally respond to e-mail messages within 48 hours.
Whatever their situation, many people have found therapy helpful. Counseling can help you reflect and make sense of difficult life events and find a way to move forward. I have experience in treating adults and teens with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, personality, LGBT, addiction, and family and marriage concerns. I have experience utilizing play therapy techniques with children. My background includes 5 years of experience in EAP, hospital, vocational rehabilitation, and private practice settings. My Bachelor's Degree is in communication form Western Illinois University and Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University. My clinical approach is strength, cognitive, and resiliency based.
